Continuing the Journey

The sessions we conducted in September and October of 2008 are a part of our initial steps to listen to and understand the unique challenges that communities face. This work will be an ongoing priority for ECIC. Some of our immediate next steps follow. Please come back to this section of our Website for updates (& use the form on the right to get email updates & more information) on the work we are doing on this initiative.

• We are working on putting a human face on what we are learning - There were passionate and heartfelt comments made at every session. We will look for opportunities to share the voices of those who so graciously gave their time and energy to this process.
  
   
• We will work with the Great Start Collaboratives for follow up on events and activities that focus on diversity and inclusion.
  
   
• We will continue to hear from more communities and work toward a set of recommendations that will help in assuring that we have the knowledge and sensitivity to assure that all of Michigan's children have a Great Start.
