Goals of the Summit

• For participants to understand why it is important to focus on results for young children
• For participants to become familiar with national and Michigan initiatives to define results and indicators
• For participants to acquire a tool for establishing results and indicators
• For participants to gain firsthand experience in using this tool, creating a preliminary set of statewide results for public comment
• To encourage continued participation of all summit participants in shaping the selection of statewide results and indicators through community dialogue
